Don't Like This Either

Too plain, don't like the colors, blahhhh....I imagine I will find what I want it to look like eventually. I have added folks, I have been able to get my old journal over to here with a link to it, and I added a site meter. That is all I can stand for one day. I have to preserve my sanity. I found a site I want to use their background on, so I will have to revise this look, AGAIN probably..lol. Not today though. Ian is home for the weekend, and I am staying off til Monday. Maybe Monday I can start fresh...unless Nelishia can tell me how she got such a beautiful background on her new journal...hint hint, then I will be on here again, trying out new things. ;)

Shelby is better, I am not sick yet, thank goodness. Vitamin C and chicken soup seems to be working. I am going to play outside now. Everyone have a nice weekend okay? XOXOX

Too Much Going On

I want to apologize to everyone. I have not been able to keep up with journals yet. I still have many to add to my sidebar. I want to post pictures and talk about the fair. BUT, Shelby is sick. I think I am getting sick. It started the day after we got back from the fair. Bad sore throat, now she is congested and coughing. Getting sick for me really sucks because I still have to keep going and taking care of things the best I can. Since I know I am going to probably get this in the next day or so, I am going to go ahead and go get groceries today, stock up the animals feed and water this afternoon, and then I will be ready to collapse when and if I get sick. I promise I will get my act together here soon. I just have to take care of things here right now. I know you all understand. Love yall all. :) Kelly

Wore Out

I am so tired. Please bear with me. Going to the fair is quite a drain on this body. We did have a wonderful time, but my feet...oh my feet. Not to mention my legs. I am so sore from walking around for 10 hours straight. We did sit here and there for shows and to eat. Listen to me whining. I will stop now. I took a four hour nap today, and I am hitting the sack again already. Pitiful...lol. I do have many stories and pictures to put up here, and lots of catching up to do with y'all, and some new journals to put into my sidebar that I recieved invites to from folks making the transition.

First thing is first though, sleep, rest, lots of housework to catch up on tomorrow, then we are supposed to get some really heavy rain tomorrow afternoon. First time in 25 days, and its going to come all at once. Anyhow, that will be the best time for me to make an entry here. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Do you know I got so caught up in the change over I forgot to mention that my FIL and his wife Christi came over not this past weekend but the weekend before. I am a big sissy and Derby needed to have his Fall shot, and well Christi knows her stuff, she is a nurse, and gives her own dogs their shots. She made it look so easy, and Derby was actually very good. It was over and done with with no fuss. We had a nice visit to top it all off.

Well here I am rambling when I need to be sleeping. So night to you all...see you tomorrow I hope. :)

Good Saturday Morning

Here I am, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Coffee is finished. Had a good morning talk with Mama. The sun is shining and its warming up. I have plans to build two pens this weekend, starting in about half an hour. Getting darker earlier and earlier I have to get out there while I still have plenty of daylight. I imagine all the critters will want to be fed first before I start working on the pens. They see me, and they associate me with food. Best way to get them to settle down and stop pestering me underfoot is to get their bellies full.

I will be scarce til Tuesday. We have plans to go to the Georgia National Fair. Know I will be back with plenty of pictures to share. I am not seeing many alerts at all now from AOLs journals, so I am assuming we are all settling in over here. I still want to get an alert system. Donna suggested Bloglines. I took a quick peek at it last night but my eyes were too heavy so I will save that venture for another day.

I have to make sure to keep up with y'all from my sidebar for now til I do get an alert system. It wont be long and dark will come so early this is where I will be in the evening moreso than during the day.

So Once A Week

I am going to change the picture in the header...once a week. Keep it looking fresh around here. This week I am starting with one of my ahem...BIG chickens. ;). This may be fun once I learn how to do stuff on here.
